Hunt has always been a partner of HomePort Hampton Roads (HHR) and in 2025, Hunt acquired full ownership. That transaction was considered Phase I. This transition is considered Phase II of the project.
HHR does not require a credit report for active-duty service members. The PPV program is designed to utilize your Entitlement and Allotment to pay in arrears.
HHR is a private company and requires a signed lease for any unit.
If you choose not to sign a lease with HHR before the anticipated transition date, you will not qualify to live in PPV housing and will need to make other arrangements prior to transition.
The first step is to get qualified for PPV housing with your Unaccompanied Military Housing Office. Once they refer you to PPV, a member of the HHR team will reach out to you. You will electronically sign your lease before our transition date.

HHR has a process to assist with Roommate Relations. Details about our policy will be shared with your lease agreement.
At this time we will not be transferring tenants to other HHR buildings, units, or properties.
No, you will not have to pay for utilities. They are included at no additional cost to HHR tenants.
Yes, you will have free WiFi in your room. You will have the option to upgrade at your cost through Cox Communications. Additional information will be available with your move in documents.
You can submit a Routine work order online through the Resident Portal, or you can call or visit one of our 24-hour service desk locations. Emergency work orders must be called in as soon as possible!

Each resident receives an electronic copy of the HHR Community Guidelines. It is the responsibility of the resident to review the guidelines, and our team will be happy to answer any questions.

When you are ready to move out, contact our leasing office to submit your Notice to Vacate in person no less than 30 days prior to your desired move out date. Our team will provide you with all the information you need related to inspections, financial responsibilities, and more.
